Train and Luggage

Train From Paris to Rome

Our celebration begins in Paris and continues by rail, all the way to Rome. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the journey, including how to pack your luggage and what to bring on board for the night on the train.

Arrival

Thursday 8th October

Please meet in the SO/ Paris hotel lobby with all your luggage and your train boarding pass (shared with you on Thursday evening).

From here, your large luggage will be taken for ground transportation.

Your carry-on luggage will stay with you as you board the group transfer to the train station.

Your Two Sets of Luggage

Please pack before Thursday morning.

Please come to the SO/ Paris lobby on Thursday morning with your luggage already packed in two sets.

Your larger luggage will be collected there and travels ahead to Rome:

1. What you take on the train

One small piece of hand luggage and one garment bag for your evening clothes. As storage space in the cabins is very limited, this is all that can come on board, and it should hold everything you need from:

Thursday morning until we arrive in Rome on Friday:

• Your outfit for the evening on board, as per the dress code

• Sleepwear and anything you need overnight

• Toiletries and personal essentials

• Clothes for Friday, including brunch on board, as we’ll go straight from the train to the light lunch and welcome drinks in Rome

2. What travels ahead to Rome

All of your larger luggage will be collected at the hotel in Paris, transported directly to Rome and waiting for you at Bulgari Hotel Roma. You will not have access to it during the journey, so anything you won’t need before Rome, including your wedding clothes, belongs here.

Please keep your passport with you at all times and never in the luggage travelling ahead, as we’ll be crossing international borders.

In short: if you need it on the train, it must be in your hand luggage or garment bag. Everything else travels ahead and will be waiting for you in Rome.

A Few Useful Things to Pack
